Pan Arab Vascular Surgical Society (PAVSS) is a scientific and professional society established to enhance medical knowledge in the field of Vascular disease including diagnosis, treatment, prevention and to encourage scientific research in the Arab world . In addition, to help regulate the practice of vascular surgery in the Arab Countries.
The mission of this society is to promote best vascular care and practices among Vascular surgeons and Vascular specialists in the Arab world by :
1. Serve the well being of the vascular patient
2. Conduct an international vascular surgical meeting annually that will attract and bring together vascular surgeons and vascular specialists from the Arab world and internationally.
3. Introduce state of the art vascular technology and knowledge in the Arab world
4. Promote research in the field of vascular surgery and vascular care
5. Educate the public on vascular diseases and its treatment
6- promote job opportunities for consultants and fellows among arab words
7- create bi monthly journal to promote research
8 – To affiliate with all local and international vascular societies and with other interventional radiology societies
9- Run workshops throughout the year to enhance the training of our fellows
10- Facilitate exchange fellows among arab countries
Mission
To elevate the status of the vascular surgeons and vascular specialists through highest
standards of education, training, research, and innovation in the Arabic world and connect them to the international vascular surgery communities .
To maintain and provide comprehensive, up-to-date, and reliable information on international associations for vascular surgeons, their activities and concerns, and their meetings activities; and to support and facilitate the work of international associations through training and networking opportunities.
Vision
To Build the future vascular surgery leaders in the Arabic world and to serve our communities and patients . To Provide high-quality, up-to-date information on vascular disease to the vascular surgeons, fellows and patients via our annual meeting, website and social media. And finally to play a key role in unification training and certifications in vascular and endovascular surgery in Arab countries.
PAVSS Goals & Objectives
PAVSS plans to organize an international vascular surgical meeting annually in a major Arab city. The meeting will introduce state of the art vascular technology and vascular knowledge to the Arab world, covering all aspects of vascular and endovascular surgery, including wound care and dialysis access. Our first meeting will be on November 30th 2022 in Luxor Egypt.
To promote education in the field of vascular surgery and vascular care in the Arab world . PAVSS will offer online vascular courses, workshops, tips and tricks and updated guidelines and will introduce new developments such as the applications of artificial intelligence in vascular disease management.
PAVSS will explore the different pathways to becoming a vascular surgeon , list a full listing of vascular surgery training programs in Arab countries, help training the vascular surgeons to stay up to date with the current practice in vascular surgery, establish Arab Board in Vascular surgery and Create Job Bank to promote job opportunities.
PAVSS will collaborate with other specialty societies to promote research in the field of vascular surgery, advance vascular care and help educate the public on vascular diseases and their treatment. PAVSS will also serve as a resource to support vascular societies in the Arab world in conducting local vascular meetings.
